Life Skills

Life Skills is a key subject in Explorers with a focus on developing independence and exploring the world of work. Students work on a variety of topics relevant to preparing them for independent, careers and employment. In terms of independent living, focus areas include personal care, meal preparation, going out into the community, using money, social skills and self-regulation. Careers and employment topics include catering, retail and arts and crafts skills. Students have the opportunity to achieve ASDAN certificates through the process of their studies.
