Student Pathways
All students have individual targets that link their Individual Education Plan (IEP) to their Education, Therapy Plan goals. This personalised approach ensures each student receives the support they need to achieve their objectives, which focus on academic, social, and personal development. The AKTI curriculum supports students through two main pathways.

Workshops
- Hydroponics
The hydroponics workshop involves students in hands-on experiences with soilless plant cultivation. Through real-world tasks like managing nutrient solutions, monitoring plant growth, and maintaining environmental conditions the hands-on learning experiences develop employability skills in an industry related subject, students will gain opportunities to plant, grow, harvest, use and sell their produce.
- Culinary Skills
The culinary skills workshop develops skills in food preparation, presentation and supports basic everyday food and drink preparation for independent living. By engaging students in hands-on cooking and baking activities, these practical experiences develop creativity, time management and effective communication skills.
- Office and Administration
The office and administration workshop develops key employability skills. By participating in real-world tasks like managing schedules, coordinating communications, and using office software, students acquire practical skills. This training equips students with abilities such as organisational efficiency, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Hospitality (Café Gaya)
Café Gaya focuses on enhancing employability skills within the service industry. Students gain hands-on experience in customer service, food and beverage preparation, and event coordination, developing skills like interpersonal communication, multitasking, and problem-solving. By working in a real café environment, students build skills that directly translate to increased job readiness.
